Northern Territory Public Sector general information sessions

The ICAC offers free information sessions to help public officers understand their obligations to prevent, detect and report improper conduct.

The sessions explain the role of the Commissioner, types of improper conduct and how to report it.

Public officers must register for the sessions and can attend through Microsoft Teams or a web browser.

The ICAC is available to present to non-NT Government organisations if requested.

To enquire, email icac.communications@icac.nt.gov.au

Introduction to ICAC and Mandatory Reporting: online or virtual via Microsoft Teams

Course information

Introduction to the NT ICAC is a one-hour session that helps public officers understand why the ICAC was established, and the impact that improper conduct has on all Territorians.

If you are a public officer and would like to find out who the ICAC can and cannot investigate, this course covers the powers of the ICAC to identify and investigate improper conduct. Participants learn what improper conduct is and the protections available to people who report improper conduct to the ICAC.

Online attendance is also available through Microsoft Teams or a web browser. Once registrations have closed, a Microsoft Teams invitation will be sent to participants who have chosen this option.

NT Government and local government employees can access introduction to ICAC and Mandatory Reporting options via the NT Government's MyLearning website.

Tailored information sessions

NT Government agencies, local government councils or other public bodies that wish to organise a tailored group training session or development of in-house education and training tools can speak to their nominated recipient or contact the Prevention and Engagement unit at icac.communications@icac.nt.gov.au.

Events

The Commissioner and his staff often present at events throughout the NT, such as governance forums, workshops and community events. Contact icac.communications@icac.nt.gov.au if you would like the Commissioner or his staff to speak at your event.
