The Commissioner can make recommendations to a person or organisation involved in public administration on how to deal with improper conduct.
Recommendations can be made about preventing, detecting, investigating or prosecuting improper conduct.
Recommendations must be in writing and provide information to help the person or organisation understand why the recommendations have been made and what they are intended to achieve.
The Commissioner can follow up whether recommendations have been implemented and, if the Commissioner is not satisfied, can provide the recommendations and any comments to the relevant minister and, ultimately, to the Legislative Assembly.
