The Commissioner must provide the ICAC Minister with an annual report of his and his office’s activities for each financial year, within 3 months of the end of the financial year.
The annual report must provide information about the activities the Commissioner has undertaken to prevent, detect and respond to improper conduct.
The report must contain the number and nature of:
- allegations of improper conduct
- concluded investigations of misconduct and unsatisfactory conduct
- reports under mandatory reporting requirements
- issue of written notices not comprehensively stating the nature of the matter
- all referrals
- search warrants issued to authorised officers
- other warrants issued to authorised officers under an NT law and the non-disclosure directions given
- the number and general nature of non-disclosure directions given.
The report must also detail:
- assessment and investigation results
- activities and results of activities that prevent, detect and prevent improper conduct
- activities conducted to prevent and respond to retaliation
- suitability checks for new members of the ICAC staff.
