Why should I report improper conduct?

Territorians are encouraged to report improper conduct in Northern Territory public administration.

Behaviour that is corrupt or harmful to Territorians should be called out and dealt with. If the Commissioner does not know about it, he cannot deal with it.

Reporting improper conduct not only helps the Commissioner to deal with those issues, it also assists to gather a broader picture of trends, issues and risks in public institutions.

If you are a public officer, you must comply with the mandatory reporting directions issued by the Commissioner. The direction states that suspected corrupt conduct and anti-democratic conduct must be reported to the ICAC.
